Last Week
Just a couple of games to report on:
Over 45 Mens
O 45 A team played against the Rangers FC to a 2:2 draw.
They had lots of chances to put the competition away and send them home with no points, but in the end the Rangers had to come from behind for the tie with only a few minutes left.
Over 35B Team
As reported by Manager Greg Barclay
Our first goal was assisted by Bart Frasca against the SWU Relics Monday night who sent a perfectly weighted pass to the feet of Ziad Dagher who slotted his first of the season under the diving goalkeeper. The Relics tied it up on a corner kick and then they took the lead when John Rovere pulled a calf muscle and lost the Striker who scored a great goal past our keeper Douwe Van der Molen. Late in the second half with a minute to go Gordon MacDonald managed to break out of his defensive position and out onto his preferred right wing where he took a free kick, bound for the top left corner only to be palmed out by the wrong footed goalkeeper. The ball fell to the feet of Kurt Sollid who blasted the ball at the recovering keeper, the rebound then came to Sergi Proskushev who made no mistake and buried the ball into the back of the net to tie the game in the dying minutes.....
Div 6 - Womens
The women had a tough game against a tough team and fell 0-5.
Classic Premier - Womens
Won their game on Sunday 2-0
There are no games for the rest of the week. Enjoy your long weekend and Happy Canada Day.

Ranger News
Last week on the Pitch
The rain let up a little bit for a few games to take place.
Here is a report from Patrick Ryan, coach of the Mens Div. 1 team and the Girls U18.
Mens Div 1 played against Vipers and lost 2-1 - very close game. Had lots of chances, just couldn't put the game away.
U18 girls played a very good Blizzard team and were blown away in the first half giving up 6 goals, but played a great second half to lsoe 7-1. The score line doesn't do them justice, as we had 4 great chances in the second half - one on one vs the keeper - to make the score a lot closer.
The Over 45 Mens team had a game last Saturday against Serbia and ended in a 3-3 tie. Gunther thought they should have won the game, but couldn't captalize on numerous chances.
The Over 35 Mens B team played the Intrepid Hoods in a Centennial Cup game and won 3-1 last Monday night. On Saturday the 18th, they played Fusion FC and won 3-0
The Womens Div. 2 had a successful game on home field last Tuesday winning 3-0.
The Womens Classic Premier won both their games last week 4-1 and 8-0, with the later coming against a short handed team.
On the Pitch This Week
Wednesday: Mens Over 35B at 6:30pm and Mens Div. 1 at 8:15
Saturday: Mens Over 35A at 12:30 and Mens Over 45 at 2:15
