January 2008
For those who were unable to attend the AGM at Ducks restaurant, we reported on the financials, reviewed each team and talked about volunteer opportunities.
We are looking forward to the new year with a few changes on the board. Bernie Pedersen will be taking over as secretary, replacing Pat Comer who has given invaluable service over the past few years. There are still some opportunities to help volunteer with the club. A volunteer meeting is scheduled for the beginning of February. If you want to help out, even in a small way, please try to attend this meeting.
One thing that was decided at the AGM was that outdoor competitive registration would take place earlier this year. So starting next week anyone interested in playing on a Rangers competitive team, including U18's can register. The deadline will be February 12th.
Each player must fill out a registration form, provide a $100 deposit, a post dated $160 dated for May 1, 2008 and a $100 uniform deposit dated for September 30, 2008. There will be in-person registration on Feb. 12 from 7-8pm at the SLSFSC by the gymnastic area or you can hand in your reigstration along with payment in at SLSFSC under Patti Nielson's file.
Participants registering after the February 12th deadline will be subject to a $30 late fee.
Women's evaluations will be April 1, 8 and 15th (teams and times TBD)
Men's evaluations will be every Wednesday in April (teams and times TBD)
U18 Girls will be April 3rd & 10th (Times TBD)
U18 Boys will be April 1st & 8th (Times TBD)
If you have any questions feel free to contact Patti Nielson at 932-8940
