Summer 2008

The Women’s Teams:

Classic Major – The Majors had a stellar season by coming back for seventh spot early on to finish tied for 2nd spot. Considering that 90% of these players reside in Cochrane this is an outstanding achievement to beat some of the best teams in Calgary. Congratulations to them.

Classic Premier – Our Premier team also had a great year as they were put into a higher division than expected and hoped to finish near the middle of the pack. They in fact finished in 3rd position and will be making their second appearance in a row at Provincials to be held in Calgary during the Labour Day Weekend.

Here is their schedule if anyone is interested in coming to cheer them on. All games will be held at the Soccer Centre.

Saturday August 29 – 4pm
Sunday August 30 – 3pm
Monday September 1 – 11am

Open Div. 3 – It was a well fought year with the team coming back to finish in the middle of the pack. Once again a Cochrane Women’s team is competing well at one of the top levels.
